I have a tif image, convert it to eps with ImageMagick convert, and insert that
eps-file into Lyx. The image is
much larger then a page, so I scale it to 80 % of side width. Now the size of the
border is correct but the
content of that border is only the lower left corner of my image, i. e. the im
n).
I think that between 1.1.5 and 1.1.6pre2 someone changed the keymap handling
code (replacing char * by strings or something like that).
This bug should be fixed for 1.1.6.

Things have got worse with my DVI preview in Lyx.
In an attempt to fix the non rendering of my ps figs in the DVI viewer I tried
using a temp directory in the Preferences. This actually worked.
I then turned off the temp directory flag. Now I don't get any dvi file. Lyx

Ummm, it's a bit late for that since the core file has been deleted!
I guess I could delete the preferences file but don't think it'll be much help
