Hi,
Two feature requests:
1) It would be really useful to be able to right-click a particular math
expression and instant-preview it, without turning on instant preview for
everything in the LyX preferences. Could an item be added to the
right-click menu for math expressions that would enable doi
Hi,
I've been building LyX RPMs from the SVN source for a while now, but I don't
know how to compile things so that installing the RPM automatically produces
a LyX desktop shortcut for Gnome, the way the officially supported RPM
package does. What precise additional steps do I need to perform?
Th

In the meantime, I'll file this as a bug report, and link to [1]. Thanks!

My LyX documents often have a lot of supporting documents written in plain
text: Text classes, layout files, BibTeX database files, and sometimes
exported TeX files that I need to edit before compiling. It would be really
helpful if I could open these plain-text documents as tabs in LyX, maybe

So it presumably wouldn't work so well as a paragraph style. But what about
a modified flex inset, by having a new binary option in the InsetLayout
block that simply deactivates opening the box in LyX?

It could be as rudimentary as just including an additional binary option
UserInput [0/1] in the Style and FlexInset blocks that deactivates text
input in LyX for the given construct.

This is probably a trivial question, but I can't seem to find an answer to
it anywhere in the documentation or the forums, so I thought maybe it wasn't
a feature yet.
I have a LaTeX class file that defines a standalone LaTeX command
(\makecopyrightpage) that takes no arguments, i.e., no {...} -- i
Hi,
When I select a math-input expression x in LyX, go to the minibuffer, and
put in, say, math-delim | |, I get |x|, as desired; that is, math-delim is
smart enough to automatically wrap selected math expressions.
But if I create a math macro that assigns \absval{} to \left|#1\right|, then
going
excellent.
Thanks, and keep up the great work!
