Please have a look at this thread:

I exactly know where the problem lies. It is due to the brain dead
boostfs library. Indeed, I always apply the attached patch to my
cygwin builds and everything works ok. I have been testing this

installation is corrupted. After a fresh install of tetex I ha

Do you mean on WinXP? Then, can you tell if
OUTPUT_CHARSET=iso8859-2
works, too? For me, on Win2k, both iso-8859-2 and iso8859-2
Thanks for the hint,
setting
OUTPUT_CHARSET=cp-1250
seems to bring up the correct menu names. Sanda could you please check
if all translations are correctly displayed.

It indeed works on Windows 2000 and not on Windows XP. Weird.

I made sure that it works with 2.2, and put it in.

Hi,
I am going to commit the following patch to the trunk. (This patch may
also be useful for 1.4.X)
Does anybody volunteer to create the missing icons? Or does anybody know
where to steal some icons from (legally!)?

The screenshot looks nice, but I cannot get it that way.
With:

Hello everybody,
I finally synchronized my branch with the trunk. The result is something
that certainly will not work and cannot be committed in one chunk.
Now how can I proceed?
Actually, I will go through the same process that I went through a few
month ago: I will pick those parts of the

I don't think that will work. For Windows you should use the codepage
1250 instead of ISO-8859-2. Although parts of these charsets are
similar, they

Yes, you have a native Win32 version of pplatex.exe in your PATH.
Move it out of the way or use a cygwin version.
I have uninstalled miktex (which was installed with my win32/lyx) and
platex no longer exists. The problem persists.
Can anyone try lyx with the latest cygwin tetex?
