Hi,
[I'm no member of devel-list: include me in a CC]
I'm running CVS of a few days back and lyx completely
collapses when selecting:
Options->Preferences
BTW: the status bar at the bottom gets all sorts of
random colour patterns when resizing the main window.

Hi,
Okay, I'm annoyed again. Ghostscript rendering seems to hang up again in
1.1.5; the last several versions didn't seem to have this problem. I'm
working on a simple talk (FoilTeX based) with 5 PostScript figures, all in
the 1-2 MB range. Doing a "ps" yields three gs processes, all of which are

If you don't mind, I've found other inconsistencies
concerning the resizeability of windows. Shall I
report those to you ?

I have come up with the following example to demonstrate what happens.
Lars, is it right? If it is, I'll ask on comp.lang.c++ and the tru64
Ok. It's Friday. It's own-up time! Which joker has put a cucumber in the middle
of the LyX Banner?
A.
A small patch:
* forms/cite.fd: modified to allow resizing without messing up the dialog.
* src/insetcite.C: Uses code from cite.fd almost without tweaking. ;-)
User can now resize dialog in the x-direction.
Resizing the dialog in the y-direction is prevented, as the code does this

I find it strange that the Help->Version shows
a fixed date. It's the date stored in LYX_RELEASE
(src/version.h).
Shouldn't that be better the actual date of compilation?
I've downloaded the CVS on June 23rd, but

In FreeBSD 3.x you have to install the EGCS package (it's in the ports in
FreeBSD 3.4) and configure LyX with
CC=gcc295 CXX=g++295 ./configu

And I'll add that, since everybody is supposed to know the linux
