1.1.6cvs: Options->Preferences crashes LyX

Hi,

[I'm no member of devel-list: include me in a CC]

I'm running CVS of a few days back and lyx completely
collapses when selecting:

    Options->Preferences


BTW: the status bar at the bottom gets all sorts of
random colour patterns when resizing the main window.
Double clicking in the status bar area, will restore
its normal design.
