LYX_RELEASE ?

Hi,

I find it strange that the Help->Version shows
a fixed date. It's the date stored in LYX_RELEASE
(src/version.h).

Shouldn't that be better the actual date of compilation?
I've downloaded the CVS on June 23rd, but get as version
date "June 6th". Don't understand why that is programmed
as a fixed date.
