Here are some feature requests and a small bug report.
A use LyX version 1.02 May 4, 1999 and
tcsh 6.05.00 (Cornell) 94/19/06 (sparc-sun-solaris)
I will begin with the bug:
Lyx gives a blank screen when pressing crtl-enter when the cursor is
directly after a display:

Hi Guys
I'm currently using my laptop as a remote xterm and running Lyx of my desk top.
I've noticed that Lyx generates traffic even when it's idle (minimised and not
in use). No other package that I run does this (matlab, kmail, xdvi, acrobat
reader, gv).
Why is this? Can it be prevented?
