OK. I've made a couple changes (thanks, JMarc).
- "reLyX -- convert..." is now a \title.
- Sub and Subsub sections were moved up a level of importance. Changed
SYNOPSIS to Synopsis since it's in a big font.
- Accents work (but ligatures don't. I don't really know what to do about
those. Is
Hi,
I made some changes to the Find&Replace dialog. The diff is against
lyx-1.0.0pre6. Since I'm not yet familiar with lyx internals you should
probably take a closer look at the new code (e.g. the line where snprintf
is used, which is probably not very elegant). Changes in detail:

Hi,
lyxfr0.h contains some ideas to improve the search dialog, regex searches
is one of them. I'd like to see this feature in lyx and I'd like to
include it. But I have no idea how to do this. My thoughts:
- We might use POSIX (man regex), but this is not OO
- libg++ had some regex stuff but is

The nice thing about xdvips was that it would open up a small window, in
response to your print request, with full access to the dvips options, and
a dialog box for the basic ones. It understood page "ranges", commands
like "2-5,7,12" worked seemlessly.

The primary reason I use it is rather stupid - the version of xdvi
included with it doesn't complain abo

Is there someone out there using teTeX-0.9 who wouldn't mind jotting
down a few observations about additional capabilities it offers LyX
users?

I once ran across a piece of code, a little X app named something like
xdvips. It opened a dialog window that gave you the option of specifying a
page range for printing. I loved it ... a perfect companion to LyX,
but lost it in a disk failure and haven't used it since.

I agree, this would be nice before 1.0...
Anyway here is an easy fix:

since I haven't got any reply - are you going to put the patch to go to the

Okay - if no one else objects, I'm going to nuke all the ERT I put in.
This goes with my gut f
I'm sure many people have made similar points before, but just to make
sure:
1. It's most annoying not being able to print just a selection of pages.
2. It's a bit irritating that when I print double sided (even then odd
pages or vice versa) I have to remember to miss out a sheet when I turn

Sorry, lost the respose email after skimming it.
Yes, I see you can highlight something inside LyX and Mouse-click-2 to
paste it elsewhere inside LyX. You can also highlight text in another
app, say in an rxvt vi session, and paste it into LyX. However, I note
that you cannot highlight somethin

If you enter \mathit{xyz} in mathed, it is displayed as "mathit{xyz}", yet
if you save and reload the document the command and braces disappear, and
you get just "xyz". This is rather confusing.

It seems to me that there should be a choice between \newpage and
\pagebreak for a page break, and dare I suggest that \pagebreak should
probably be the default (as is implied in LaTeX by its name)?

Since these are synonyms in LaTeX, it seems reasonable that typing
\gets in mathed should produce a left-pointing arrow (and perhaps it
should even be represented by \leftarrow in the document; I'm not sure
whether it's preferable to map two commands to one symbol or turn one
command into another)
