Mmh ok, well you should still be able to finish the installation. I must say I'm not too familiar with the alternate install images. How barebone are they supposed to be? I'm at my terminal and would have to edit my sources.list to get stuff installed but of course no desktop, no vim, no nano only

Good news, so far the ppc desktop image runs fine (G5 Power Mac, 600MHZ fsb variant, 1,8 GhZ, 1GB RAM, Nvidia pcix card) live boot, it just works, software rendering, but working out of the box, not even had to use any manual workarounds yet, did not expect that ^^ Walter Lapchynski schrieb am Mi

It works, but known workarounds still apply (eg. for Radeon or Nvidia cards), for me on this powermac G5 as mentioned earlier live boot simply worked, install would need known nvidia workarounds tho as at that point it would simply freeze otherwise but that is nothing new, no show stopper and a lon
