I now installed Lubuntu 13.10 on this machine (amd-64). A few problems: Keyboard-layout-handler doesn't work. I have installed in it three layouts: Latin-american (which is the physical layout on my keyboard), English US, norwegian. Now it is frozen at latin-america, , cannot change. Kjetil

Hi, zram has been default in the kernel for quite some time (I'm sure some one will go look up as to when it landed). From kernel 3.10.6 zram was broken, there is a patch available for 3.11 (I've no idea where that is up to), it is reported as fixed in 3.12 kernel. I've now got 3.12rc kernel runni

As I mentioned on the bug report, we may be facing more than one bug. We can only deal with one issue at a time, the easiest one to hit is does the new kernel stop the freeze when installation is completed. Just thinking aloud what if it is zram closing down and confusing the virtualisation? That would explain why it does not affect alternate (it doesn't use zram). I think it needs confirming on 'real' kit as we did have the desktop installing happily on 512Mb when done with hardware. Regards,
