After 10min or so, my laptop screen shuts down. Now, this is good
behavior, but the sound output also goes off.
How can i solve it?

need to use uxterm in order to use utf8 in xterm.
uxterm is a script that launches xterm with support of utf8.
Then you can type in hebrew.
Reading hebrew is not the same as writing in hebrew.
