Hello
Whenever I start lilypond in shell, I get this message:
/usr/share/guile/1.
How about the following, for an alternative?
{ b4 \melisma a g a \melismaEnd | b b b r \melisma | a a a r | b d d r
\melismaEnd }
\addlyrics { _ lit -- tle lamb }

I would really recommend you to upgrade to the latest stable version,
2.6.4.
Unfortunately, it's not included in the Debian archive, but you can use
the installation package at www.lilypond.org which should work on
almost any Linux.
If you want to stick to 2.4.5, it looks to me as if you have so
Hello Mats,
ec-fonts-mftraced is installed and the texhash command didn't help. Will

Hello again,
The autopackage worked and 2.6.4 solved the font problem. Thanks. I only
wonder how I am going to remove the installation when Debian catches up.
Later.
Cheers,

You mean the beams? Just make them transparent as well. If you are
unfamiliar to the english music typesetting vocabulary, I recommend
the Glossary included in the LilyPond documentation.

It looks as if you already have a file called blues_up_the_neck.ps

Just remove it and everything should hopefully work.

The docs don't make it easy, but with a couple of stumbling hours, maybe
this is what you want. It seems out of culture.

I've attached a revised .ly that includes stuff like this. Please let me
know what else should be included.
Thank you.
By the way, correcting the error in the chords & note rhythms fixed my problem, and the \break tricked worked great.
Thank you very much for your help.
