My Bad! Sorry. Both methods below did work. I
chose to go with:
"``God"8 is8 "king'';"4
because it looked nicer. I won't say what I was doing
wrong...
Thanks!

All,
Thanks for the suggestions. In my lyrics I tried:
``God8 is8 king''
This did not produce any quotes at all. Any other
ideas?
thanks!

Hello!
How do I include quotation marks in lyrics? I'm
putting a backslash in front of them, but this seems
to put two little dots above the next letter, instead
of double-quotes before. For example:
\"God is King\"
Is this not right?
thanks,

Odd. I just posted a similar question last night. Let
me know if you find a way...

Hello,
What settings in my latex file do I need to include to
make my sheet music outputted from lilypond-book look
similar to the output from ly2dvi? It seems the staff
sizes (heights) are smaller coming from lilypon-book.
I can include my files if that will help.
thanks!

Kev,
Thanks! That did it. Here's what I ended up with.
Do you have any idea how I can put the stanza numbers
at the beginning of each line? This piece is a little
hard to follow without them there.
Thanks a million!

Hello!
I'm trying to get the lyrics in this piece of music
numbered. How do I properly go about this. I can get
the first stanza (verse) numbered, but if I uncomment
out the lines to number 2 and 3, I run into all kinds
of trouble. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

Hello,
This odd piece of music I'm working on is giving me
fits. I'm making progress thanks to help from all of
you.
What I'm facing now is trivial, but annoying. In the
verseNotes section, towards the end (3rd measure from
the end), I have a tie between two notes (the b-flat
and g). For some rea
melody). Sorry if I'm not being clear
enough.

Graham,
Is it possible to have multiple score blocks on one
page? I wasn't aware you could do this. Where do you
put the paper block?

Hello!
Is there a way to split up my music on one page? I
want an antiphon at the top of the page seperate from
the music/verses at the bottom of the page. The
anitiphon and verses are quite different. Is there a
way to force a break or would I do a new score block
or something else entirely?

Hello!
I'm trying to transpose some odd music. It's only
meant for singing. The notes have no stems. Also, the
measures are not all the same length (timewise) but
the time signature is not printed. Is there a way to
not print stems & time signatures?
thanks!

Hello!
I'm still very new at lilypond. After reading through
the doc & many newsgroup postings, I'm not sure how I
go about this. I need to create a small music book of
custom size (4.25" x 5.5"). I've tried several things
in the paper block and have not come close to
accomplishing my goal. Is the
