I'm looking for the ability to span treble and bass clefs
with a glissando, similar to what can be done
with arpeggiated notes.
Right now I can't get the two clefs
(glissando start and stop voices) to interact for this specific case.
The bass clef gets shoved down to make way for

A very important reason for the percussion vlef not to behave like the

If you follow the unstable development version 2.11, then please read

\wordwrap-string ? It's not ideal, because it takes a string instead of
a markup. The other option would be to use nested \column, \line, and
\wordwrap (in some order).

Hi,
Is there something like
\markup \wordwrap { Here's the first long sentence. \n And here's the
second long sentence. }
Also, is there markup hiding anywhere to make bullet or numbered lists?

Who else has vocal-related overrides and tricks they want to share?
Please don't only share them here -- and this applies to Arvid, too. In

I want to say
c^\F
c_\F
where \F is a smaller \flageolet, and this \F can't be defined with
define-music-function.

Another comment (off-topic): Are you sure you do not want the hyphens to
appear centered between the syllables, which can be done by entering,

It seems that this is a bug which has been fixed in the latest 2.11
version.
I haven't checked 2.10, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's fixed
in the latest 2.10.x version as well.

within the
\repeat volta 3 {...}
the melodyVoi Voice context didn't include the alternative endings.
The simple solution is to move the
\context Voice = "melodyVoi" {...}
outside the
\repeat volta 3 {...}\alternative{...}

Hello,
I am struggling to have print out the last word "stehn" of the fourth
line of the lyrics in the first alternative part under the note g'.
Do I have to include another lyricmode in the alternative block? Just
can't figure out, although I tried a lot of different approaches. Any

How do I print German chord names with \germanChords but keep the
