Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to use lilypond on windows with a locally
installed version of ghostscript (i.e. a more up-to-date version in another
directory)? What files would I need to modify to get this to work?
The version of lilypond is the 2.8.x series on windows xp

I would like to sponsor a feature, if it does not already exist in

Hello, all --
I've seen a couple of inquiries about this issue on the list in the
past...
Just ran into this problem myself, and solved it to my satisfaction
(see Lilycode, below, and attached PNG).
Hope this helps someone else!
Best regards,

Have you tried opening the EPS in other programs? Moreover, have you tried
opening it in GSView after unchecking 'Safer' on the tools menu? I don't

Hi, Paul:
Either way it's good to use \markup to let the player know at the
end of the section
for one instrument that s/he needs to change instruments.
The new feature automatically does that! =)
the player [...] may even not notice the instrument name at the

Hello,
I am somewhat at a loss. I want to generate an Encapsulated PostScript

And there I find that I can put --backend=eps, --ps so that I

Hmm that's really strange... Try to put your input files in a brand new
folder (with a new .\out folder) maybe something goes wrong if you name your
new file after your test file. In this way there's no chance lilypond-book
is going to overwrite anything.

But I am directing the output to an "out" directory, and I still get the
