Hi,
I'm working on a system using lilypond to embed music notation
on dynamicwebsite SPIP (articles and forums)
http://www.spip.net/en_article88.html
It works fine on local test but i have two little problems to resolve
before tocreate a publicly accessible webserver.
I'm worried about the p
as designed: to share music
notation information with the ability to edit *and* represent graphically.
It seems to use Lilypond 2.2.6. I believe a dedicated Lilypond server should
have the most recent stable version, and automatically apply convert-ly
(does convert-ly forward-compatible?).
It seems
d on email, won't solve the security issue
related by the usage of Scheme.

I'm trying to collect here the main requirements which should be addressed
by a future LilyPond Server:
- It should use a recent version of LilyPond, with optional or automatic
applying of convert-ly
- fast response (online all the time, enough computing power). Providing
output files as req
Regarding the new ideas for a lilypond server, have you seen the
already existing one at http://wikitex.org/? See also the recent
discussions on the mailing lists related to the LilyPond Snippet
Repository (LSR).

Sorry, last mail was fired too early;
I said, I found the address of the lute-tab by mail by luck:

and the relative web server.

Hello. Plz forgive me for jumping in, but I have noticed a strange attit
root? If there's really a need, then lilypond might have to be jailed and
put in a straight-jacket (meaning the shell and safe mode ;p)
~~~
ROOT? Never! Are there any good reason to run it as root?
Security has already been discussed on this list. IIRC there is a
lilypond safe mode to be used
yPondClient.py foo.ly".
change like LilyTool to implement the HTTP upload method. But I wonder how
you will implement the php? Will you call the Lilypond process stright from
php [proc_open()]? or would you open a sock
rate most
firewalls.
My motivations for the Lilypond Server is not only for public access but also
for an easy bridge for LilypondTool to a coLinux machine.
Possibles of disadvantages of HTTP upload method I think of is 1) Slower 2)
File Size Limit 3) More java coding on the client side.
Ho
fantastic. Let's make it let's make it ;-)
Hi,
I attempted to create a simple Lilypond Server the last few days, and for
anyone's who interested, please give your comments (on the codings, concept or
whatever) , or even better, if you can improve on it, (or maybe you can set up
a server). I'm not on the lilypond-devel list,
The main problem is security: you can make lilypond run scheme code that
purges your (the server's) hardrive.
Is running lilypond in colinux faster than with cygwin?
