The texlive chapter needs some love WRT building from source and
requires building asymptote seperately
either in tree or standalone.
i would suggest that the --enable-shared option become recommended as
opposed to optional besi

I just became aware of a beta version of the FHS.

Although it's dated August 2011, it's a lot newer than the one we have
been referencing (about 2004). For instance the newer one dicusses
/run and the older one does not.
