I've just finished closing up my left wing tank and glassed the entire bottom
of the wing, but that Vinyl ester is a real pain to use
I've heard that for sealing purposes only it's OK to use Epoxy resins to do the
first layer of the fuel tank and the micro in the corners etc, and then to use
I am no expert so I asked an expert, A friend builds racing Kayaks and
canoes.
He said NEVER put Vinyl near Epoxy unless the epoxy is complete dry , as the
fumes from the epoxy will not allow the vinyl to dry out.
From memory Epoxy will stick vinyl, But Vinyl will not stick fully to
epoxy.
