I've just finished closing up my left wing tank and glassed the entire bottom of the wing, but that Vinyl ester is a real pain to use !!!! I've heard that for sealing purposes only it's OK to use Epoxy resins to do the first layer of the fuel tank and the micro in the corners etc, and then to use vinyl for the top layer of cloth and the sealing coat. Are the two resins compatible?? will I have to sand the epoxy coat before I place the vinyl coat on top?? If this method works it'll make the whole job a lot easier and less sticky as the epoxy cures a lot slower in my climate.
Thanks Gavin
