Thanks to all who responded to my recent runway encounter message.
I have not had much time to respond and I have taken all advise into
consideration with the following decisions using some of the advise and
judicious use of civility peppered in.
First I will sbmit a NASA safety report

CPS in California is my go-to place for the different controls because I owned
a Mini-Max 1600 and it had all mechanical controls to include the brakes. They
have all the different cable assemblies and adjusters for them.Â

Ken I concur. Being an early product of the Ft. Bragg flying club flying out
of Pope AFB in NC I can attest to the daily grinding of proper military flight
procedures and etiquette. There is nothing that screams procedures and
adherence to the rules like flying a Piper Cherokee through gaggles
You might try https://www.mcfarlaneaviation.com/, as they specialize in
cables.

Yes Larry, it took me a day on researching and talking to local motor cycle
shops to found out the name for it (barrel adjusters)! In fact, I already
ordered a pair (not the same but hopeful) on Amazon but I gave up using it,
as it is a task trade-off of making more parts to replace or overhaul bot
You were right 100% Joe. I was taught as a student pilot 20 years ago that
when you are on the runway, you own it. And if you are doing something
wrong, the FAA can ream you out later.
You should have called and reported this guy.

In doing some online searches it appears these things are called "barrel
adjusters" and many different styles available for bicycles but not
exactly what you are looking for. At least we can give the part a name
in our searches.

I had the good fortune to learn to fly at the Aero Club located at Holloman
AFB. My instructors were all high time USAF trained pilots with a priority
for following the rules and safety. All my training flights were made off
active military runways with a tower. You DO NOT screw up in this

Maybe you could send a photo or d

Hey guys,
I am new to this group and hope someone can point an easy solution for my
KR2 landing gear break fixes?
I bought a KR2 project and now nearly 99% completed and ready to test fly
except the issue of landing gear cable break on the right side:
It is called the "cable end" used for adjust
He was wrong if he heard u. 100%
Had similar thing happen 30 years ago. Guy was yelling at me for back
taxiing after landing (had to). Too lazy to go around so landed
unsafely and yelled at me. There are jerks who apparently can afford
an airplane.

Wow Joe, so many things wrong with the Cessna pilot’s actions. Not only is
that a blatant disregard for aviation safety by actually CREATING a Runway
Incursion on his part by putting both himself and you in danger, but then to
actually have the nerve to take off when you’re more or less still o
Hey Guys,
I went to the airport today mostly to gather tools for home in case we are told
no more traveling oustside of our home. But once there I fueled up looking at
the wind straight down the runway. So I thought I would take a once around the
pattern. so once in the air I tought this is nice
