I have used that same master switch in all three planes that I have built and
never had a problem. The one in my KR has been in service for over 20 years
now with 1150 hrs flight time.

I have been using the Cessna style split master switch for 300 hours on my KR2S
with no problems?
Nice to be able to isolate the alternator and battery using this switch for
troubleshooting.
I would recommend using it.

can separate and protect individually in a practical sense is best. Honda makes
it a point to run individual power and ground circuits in almost every circuit
in their cars,
