Another possibility, and one that I'm using, is to run your main buss
load and alternator output (if not to large) through a quality relay
like this
one
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bch-0332019155?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-bosch-automotive&gclid=CjwKCAjw2s_MBRA5EiwAmWIac2c7j-86Jz0oMQS7Qn77uNjyWSkMFnJ5sEqL02zjB9bdF4QSJ9hvGBoCnncQAvD_BwE
I activate the relay with a small switch. I use the mini switches on
my panel. http://myplace.frontier.com/~flesner/02092590.jpg If you
go that route use a quality relay like the Bosch 30 amp and not the
cheap "made in Mexico" kind you will find at the local discount auto
parts store. 600+ hours and 13 years of flying without any
problems. My alternator output is 12 amps max and my electrical load
probably half that max.
A quick Google search will show many suppliers.
