have mentioned building a KR twin. You're not the first to think of this.

wanted to use a set of 2.5 litter engines from Subaru and a gear reduction so
they would run at higher rpm's. I've heard that Subaru's with gear reductions

In 1998 there was actually a tri-gear, twin 2180 VW, 2-place KR designed and
constructed by a group formerly known as the Area 51 Engineers. It was
called the KR-2T "Tango", as in "it takes two to Tango". A schematic is
