Just a guess on my part, wouldn't the main center spar have to be considerably beefed up to carry the load of two engines? We're talking a LOT of weight here, especially if you're thinking of mounting a pair of Covair engines on that puppy! The holes for the engine mounts would be quite a bit larger than those used for the WAF's. That makes the spar fairly thin above and below it. Just an observation; not a criticism.
