Well I am convinced that you just enjoy taking things apart and putting
them back together again.
Re the EMPI heads, there are EMPI heads and other EMPI heads. Mine are
EMPI, with the larger valves, but

The ones that I put on, on this last re-build, are genuine VW. Well, as
genuine as you can get these days. I think the EMPI are OK, on the heads
with the stock size valves, but are not, on the 2180 with the oversize
valves
My Great Plains 2180 has 774 hours on the bottom and 484 hours on the top
and has proven very durable, smooth and completely free of hassles. No
