Has anyone built independantly adjustable rudder pedals, and if so how?
My wife and I have legs that are 4" different, so I'd like to make my pedals
adjust at least that amount. I've thought up many devices that could possibly
make this happen, but in this stage of my thinking, they all seem fa

Definitely heavier and more complex. The b
lookup up your nearest gliding/soaring club and go and have a look at a glider.
Most gliders have adjustable pedals.

Looking at it from a differant angle. In the last few months there was a
message regarding adjustable seats, I can not remember any of the details.
Check the arcives as it should be there.

Mark,
The quickest and easiest way I can think of is to make some "platform"
blocks to either permanently or temporarily attach to the forward side of
the passenger pedals. These could move the pedals aft 2-3 i

Loop the rudder cable back to the minor spar and put a turnbuckle in it, using
rudder cable pullies. Tie the left rudder cable from the rudder to the left
side of the loop and the right to the righe side. By adjusting the trunbuckle
you can adjust the peddle height.

Thanks everybody for the input. I'm still not sure how I'm going to solve
the problem, but I've made some progress.
I made a device to try out and weigh, but now my problem is...I don't know
how much a standard set of rudder pedals weighs, so I don't know if I'm
doing good or bad. Does anyone kn

its good enough for me. The pedal hinges are tube in a tube with some

You'll more than likely get some flak about the bent tube linking the stick
to the control surfaces. I think it came up here before and some said it
was dangerous (failure mode in buckling). I disagree based on the for

That "bent tube" is much more substantial than the straight one in my KR. So
far it has 470 hours of flight time with no indication of failure.
