Hi Dan, Thanks very much for your response.I have a 2 L type 4 VW engine that runs exceptionally well on a distributor similar to a Bosch type 009 distributor imported from Great Plains.and standard VW plugs.I have installed a backup system that will need an extra set of plugs.Thanks for clarifi

Eric, Are you talking about a VW engine? What kind of plugs, depth of the threaded area? The only place I have seen a problem, is on the VW when the plug treaded area has been bored out, to allow for the 1/2" reach of the aircraft plugs for the magneto. It is not uncommon for these to get blown
