Larry,
Now I have taken the time to read several of the
replies regaurding the cat problems you are having.
Now many of the ideas that have been made are in jest,
however I would recommend the use of "red chili
pepper." I know when sprinkled around the garden it

John,
I did the same thing on my Invader ultralight. I used
a strip of packing tape across the gap to give the
support. Then you lay on the glass/plastic lamination
and allow to finish curing. Remove the overlay and
tape as Dan explained.

Don,
Inquire about 82UL avgas and it's availabity in your
area. This is going to be the replacement to 100LL
when they start to phase it out. I'd like to know
what the availabilty is around the country as well.

Keith,
Looks real good considering it only 40 years old or
so.
One of mine that I took apart had the oil pan all
gnarled. I'm going with a deep sump on that.

Hey Mark,
I was convinced before, however with a plea like that,
this event will not be missed by me. I'm totally
sold, now all I need is a ride in a KR2 when I get
there. So get the test hours burned off of that jewel
of yours. I'm also going to nag you about bringing it
to Oshkosh, how 'bout

Mark,
Don't try that in your new jewel as I still looking
forward to seeing it in one piece, not in a heap of
splinters.

Oscar,
My recommendation is to go to the FBO and befriend a
mechanic there and either have him show you how they
work or have him install them for you. If you don't
have many to install, it would be cheaper in the long
run to have it done for you.

Mark,
I went to this website and seen the aluminum cylinders
for the corvair. Have you done any research on these
and what would be your thoughts on this.

When you get airborne. You might try a water filter
dust collector like I use for drywall sanding. I
purchased it at Homedepot and it's called an Aquaclean
dust collector. I use a DeWalt DW412 palm sander on
it with the vacuum attachment. You have to modify you

Mark,
Never been to SNF, however I go to Oshkosh every year.
It's gotten to be tradition. I'm adding the KR

assumption is that you will surely be at Oshkosh am I

Mark,
What a fantastic report! You should be very proud,
keep the reports coming. It stirs the desire in me to

Hey netters;
Was courious about fuel injection. I know that
William Wynne had at one time attempted to do this
with direct injection with little sucess, however I
was thinking throttle body injection. With this you'd
improve performance and economy. I checked Clark's

Hey Rod,
Congradulations are in order. No plane has ever been
built without a plan. Good to here that construction
has started. I'll be starting my 4'x16' bench next
week as time allows. It will come in handy also as I
need to build spars for another aircraft I own. Keep

Dan,
I would strongly recommend contacting Lawson Products
for the hardware that you need. I've used their stuff
and it's above average in quality. I asked my rep if

Dan,
One more thing that I should mention is that you
should order the nuts and washers in grade 8 as well
to maintain the complete integrity of the fastener
system. Remember that a cha

aircraft production. I've located the link and

that many aircraft were constucted of wood I thought

Greetings Netters:
Just joined three days ago and have been very
impressed with the professionalism displayed here.
Everyone is trying to help each other in a very timely
manner. I've debated which aircraft I would build but
have decided to build the KR2S. Some of the other

Hi Netters:
Has anyone used any wood species besides sitka spruce.
Since every thing on the fuselage is laminated in
fiberglass I would think the strength would be there.
The spar is another story which I accept.
Thanks, Bill Jeffries
