On your 172 unless someone wired it wrong the 1 wire coming off the solinoid is a ground wire. When the master is turned off everything but the clock (unless it is a wind up) is off.  On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 07:52:33 AM CST, Flesner wrote: On 11/30/2021 8:19 PM, Mark Langford

If you look at a Cirrus it is totaled when you pull the chute. They bury all the lines under the glass. I had 5 engine out ( Actually 1 was prop and flange left the plane) 3 over Missouri 1 in the Florida panhandle and 1 at home in lake Dallas. Every time I either landed on a runway or a pastur

I can tell you with my KR2 with balanced elevators and an 0-200 that I was able to achieve a very quick elevator flutter at 215 mph. I was at 5000 ft and started to chase down a Mooney at 3000 ft and was not paying enough attention to my airspeed. When it hit I pulled all the power of and pulle

I will be surprised if the FAA does anything with the engine. I have been down a few times with VW engines and all they said was it is an Experimental and unless someone was seriously injured they really did not care to even look at it. On Monday, June 3, 2019, 9:37:45 AM CDT, Patrick via K

We had a few Sonerai's around Dallas area. I had the opportunity to fly 2 of them. Most after they built and flew once or twice either sold them or moved them to the back of the hanger. That is a Gorgeous example. On Sunday, May 21, 2017 3:00 PM, Mark Langford via KRnet wrote: FYI, th

You really do not want to over insure. I will give an example. My neighbor built an RV7 and insured it for $126000. after her 6 attempt at landing WITH the wind she flipped it over on its back.  She told the insurance company she did not want it fixed, They told here it would cost $4 to fix

Re: KR> Sterba prop

You can't move the prop on a Mooney. I know that any of the O-320 and O-360 series engines the props can only go 2 ways. The prop is pined. The reason is the prop is set up for compression stroke on #1 cylinder. Every High horse powered engine I have owned the prop will only go 2 ways.  On
