Greetings
If you read back on all the posts regarding the ZS-UKU incident; all the
information we have available has been posted (See KRNet Archives)
There is also a local South African forum where the incident is being
discussed and the pertinent info has been shared there too :

Found this, was a fatal crash with mention of "wing failure"... this is
well worth following as I have never heard of a KR wing failure in the 30+
years of following this design.

OK, let me try again
Sakkie Halgreen died in a crash of a KR2 that was not ZS-UKU, he did own
ZS-UKU at that stage, he was the original builder
ZS-UKU, a KR2, was not involved in a crash BEFORE the spar failed resulting
in the recent crash.

That's the answer we're waiting for. We're talking two separate
crashes, one a pilot and passenger killed in a flat spi
Hi Rudi, Now I am double confused. What happened with ZS-UKU spar, and how

No, ZS-UKU was a KR2, what I am saying is that Sakkie Halgreen (builder
and original owner of ZS-UKU) died in a crash of a KR2 that went into a
flat spin but that plane was not ZS-UKU.
ZS-UKU did have a spar failure and it was a KR2 but it had no crash history.

So the spar failure was not from a KR2 aircraft at all, correct?! This puts
back the KR2 spar in-flight failure record back to ZERO, correct?!
This is a critical piece of accident precursor data on structural integrity
failure, so we need every bit of detail information that is accurate and
