My first few flights were without using my "belly board". The last few flights
have been with the belly board. I find that my landing role out is shorter
using the speed brake.

I found belly boards and flaps have different functions.
Flaps increase drag and lift.
For flaps you need more ground clearance than the standard retract KR has.
The belly board, when placed at the main spar, just increases drag without
increasing lift.

Just for confirmation:
1. a Belly brake will have exactly the same desired effect then.
2. No need for both split flaps & a belly brake.
If the above is the case, I'll not bother with the stub wings only

Hi All
I have received my disassembled Revmaster R2100D and am wondering what is the
proper gasket set to but to re assemble it.
Is it something I can buy locally at the vw dealer or auto parts store or do I

They are a good choice for flaps in a small mechanical footprint, the
problem that you may encounter is drag. Split flaps produce a higher
amount of drag than other flap designs. Considering the weight of the

Hi Mark & all,
What was your experience with your split flaps? I intend to make split flaps on
the inboard wings only, all the way to the rear spar. I found a nice picture
where another builder did same & it's really easy to make.
Kind regards,
Henni
