Troubleshooting carb problems while flying gives me the shivers, although I
realize there's no more accurate way to do it. Larry Flesner once cleaned
up the wreckage of a KR2 that the pilot stalled and spun in off the end of
his runway after several flights of trying to iron out a carb problem.
I was looking through the archives for wingtip lights and saw joe horton's
do it yourself LED wingtip lights...anybody have more info on these?
anybody else using them?

Jeff,
Have you gotten rid of the KR parts?
Curious what you are asking for the flaps and how much work it would take to
install into a finished craft.
Thank you,
Clayton

They claim the model TBI-34 is suitable for a VW:

I have been evaluating the Ifly app on my phone for the past few weeks.
As I said previously, I think I have evaluated nearly every other app
out there and they all had some issue or another that I could not live
with. There were just a few small issues I did not like with the Ifly
including not
I believe that I used a Dremmel tool flex shaft for my cable on my
Zenith. I had mine running from the carb to a rack and pinion system so
I could use a regular vernier mixture cable to the rack gear which
turned the pinon connected to the flex shaft and carb needle. It worked
great.

Hello KR flyers,
In your experience, what is the angle of attack (20,30, 35 degrees) to the
wing chord line or level line at stall speed?
And at cruise, what would you say is the wing angle of attack to level line?
Is there a best angle at which to install the pitot tube?
Thanks,
Gary
Hi all - long time reader, first time to post.
I have a buddy who has a Rotec TBI on his aerobatic Swick-T with an O-320
and absolutely loves it. I wonder if anyone has tried to adapt one to a VW
engine? After reading the comany info and hearing my friend rave, I can't
see any bad to them...anyone
I am using a Zenith from Great Plains on my 2180 VW. The carb is mounted
directly behind the Diehl adapter case. If you have a magneto at that
location, then mounting the carb there will not work to well. I used the
intake manifold kit from Great Plains, but opened the Y section to raise the
Ken Cottle mentioned recently that he's had a bear of a time getting his
RevFlow dialed in. Constant fiddling with the needles, with no success.
The RevFlow seems to be just as tricky as the Posas were/are. Ken has
been looking for an Ellison. Too bad the company stopped making the
EFS-2 . . .
I have a Posa Super Carb with mixture and heat and it works well if you can
your thinking past the float bowl issue. NO. SMOKING ANYWHERE NEAR THE
AIRPLANE!!

While I am, here how the hell do anyone tune a revflow carby I can tune the
mix at the needle to run smooth at full throttle soon as i pull it back
In reply to Brian Kraut, my KR has the std Diehl landing gear and plans built
tail wheel assembly on it with an asphalt high speed roller blade wheel (its a
bit small but works ok). Granted when 3 point landing you are semi along for
the ride when you settle on, as there is no visibility over t
