If you are running a Corvair or VW based auto engine from the mid to late
'60's (sorry, didn't read the whole thread), 25 psi at full operating
temperature is normal unless you have a high pressure / high volume oil
pump. Typical bypass pressures are cold and will run about 60 psi...

well this came about because the 15/40 w oil gave me another static 300 rpm
thats got to eqate to maybe 8-10 hp more ---significant
but the pressure drop off when hot at cruise down to 25 psi a little low
where is the pressure reg --i believe there are 2 devices --this has an oil
cooler fit
