On my system, there is a hidden dependency: lib/qt4/plugins/designer/libphononwidgets.so links libpulse.so.0 and libpulse-mainloop-glib.so.0, but devel/qt4-designer does not depend on audio/pulseaudio, which installed these libraries. (After uninstalling audio/pulseaudio, pkg is complaining.) Un
