Am I the only one here who thinks an "extragear" meta port would be a good
idea?

One instruction was missing, from UPDATING: Remove
/usr/local/kde4/etc/rc.d from local_startup, in rc.conf.
Failure to do so will cause all enabled rc scripts in
/usr/local/etc/rc.d/ to be started twice.
Once as normal, then once more from the symlink'd
/usr/local/kde4/etc/rc.d directory.

I installed an entire system, and then installed KDE 4.7.3, including
kdegames4.7.3
However, upon attempting to load any of the games, Most are just
empty windows, kubrick -sortof- works, but no menu is shown at all.

a very bored individual helped me solve this.. ryan bancroft
(rbancroft) gave me a pair of patches that work great for kdelibs..

Just a simple update to the packagekit and packagekit-qt4 to get
packagekit 0.7.6 installed under FreeBSD. works on my 9-stable box, I
see no reason it shouldnt work..

packing system, the
preferred way to call packages is by their category/port name. IE: "pkg
install devel/dragon" will install that one, whereas "pkg install
multimedia/dragon" will install the kde media player named Dragon
