Actually, upon complaining about this issue in #not-##freebsd one night, a very bored individual helped me solve this.. ryan bancroft (rbancroft) gave me a pair of patches that work great for kdelibs..

He said he would mention it to you guys, but apparently hasnt gotten a chance to, so here are the patchfiles he sent me..
