This is an upstream Qt problem, not directly tied to KDE: in fact, IIRC,
patches proposed were even rejected.

the other day I gave KF5 once again a shot on my OSX-Qt5-VM running Mavericks
and I finally was able to build

(under Extragear base) It is missing a manual. Needs a Feature_summary
added to CMakeLists.txt and some .desktop files should be renamed to
org.kde.foo.desktop.
I just tried it out and it seems to work here, though I'm not seeing
