I dont't feel it is necessary, but I'm ok to search for a solution if
someone tells me : I tried to edit features in snapping mode and I find
it confusing when I create new points because This way, I'll be sure
it is worth looking for a better solution :-)

In general i agree with you.
What may solve confusion is if we deliver a message like "point set" in
the info box, down left?
