Should be possible. I dont't feel it is necessary, but I'm ok to search for a solution if someone tells me : I tried to edit features in snapping mode and I find it confusing when I create new points because This way, I'll be sure it is worth looking for a better solution :-) Michaël Stef

Michael, What did you mean when you said "My experience is that it is more confusing not to be able to snap points (snapping linestrings and polygons works just fine) than to have points snapped on another one." To what "another one" do you refer? A point on the grid, or a node on a feature geome
