I am a high school teacher, computer science and webmastering in Dallas, Texas.
I attended Carnegie Melon's 6APT workshop for AP Computer Science Teachers several
years ago addressing this issue.
We teachers, do a horrible job teaching young girls. I am attempting to do better,
and it shows,

I sympathize with the rant, because I am a super geek, married to a geek,
fortunately most of the time, those who do know us know that I am the super
geek
At the same time, I've been put down more times than can be counted as an
amateur radio operator, since I seem to be one of the very few wome
