you can only block access to certain ports even using iptables. the http port is 80. so u can block all traffic for www.badsite.com port 80 only. this will keep othre services open.

I regret to say that upon checking up the CD supplied with the subject modem, I did not find any driver for it which is compatible for Red Hat 7.3. As it a window based modem and I tried to enquire from the manufacturer if they are having any driver for linux for their modem. They express
I also faced it yesterday. It said Sync. Out of Range. I booted Knoppix in
`expert' mode and gave the Horizontal and Vertical frequencies manually.
May be you can try the same (keep your monitor manual handy).
