Hemant there r 'redhat-config-* ' files for configuring various things on RH8.0, try them, at the same time have the exact details of ur graphics chip.

All my experiments on the I845 motherboard-with an aim
to get the sound working (and then i can listen to all
those Bryan adams songs. :), seem to have no effect at
all! [I'm using the ALSA sound drivers..]
