Intel 845 support is in CVS. i am successfully using X with i845 board.
however, i810 module will not work as expected.
If you need 1024x768 resolution, then you'll need X from cvs, but for
800x600 you can try "vesa" drivers instead of "i810". i believe that
would work for you.
you may also need to increase the video memory in your bios to 8 MB.
