Hi Tarun
But this is not my requirement(making ur prog MTA
independent).I dont
think
the new made prog will be as efficient and stable as
compared to
SENDMAIL.Can't we use it wrapped in our application,
as we can
definately
customized SENDMAIL using shell scripts.
Thanx

Hi Suman,
Lets try to elaborate your problem further.
1. The Application is not intended to be an MTA accepting or receiving
mails, Its meant to be a mail management s/w.
2. You have to use Sendmail as your MTA for now, and you may want to replace
it later(That's what I meant independent of MTA)

hi
Presently Yahoo.com does offer POP service, but it is not free, you have to subscribe to it. Another option is that you can download YAHOOPOP software from http://www.sourceforge.net This software emulates POP interface and creates the virtual POP server which Kmail can use.
Not sure about Hotma
You don't need to reinvent the wheel.
Use "GNU Mailman"
And why should any ISP block you unless you are using single opt-in lists or
harvested lists(worse).
