Go to www.aboutdebian.com/index.html. Download all the
linked pages. Will not take much time. Read them
offline. It will tell you basic Linux issues. It also
suggests good books relevant to Linux starters. Don't
be afraid that it is Debian specific. All Linux
distributions are conceptually the same.
