FYI - It is probably /var/adm/messages which you meant for Solaris I believe. For Linux there are many (one of them is /var/log/messages) log files and you can use syslogd to update them or write your own if you like. Take care of what subject you write in your mails. There was no "Trivial MySQL

i guess your swap partion should be atleast of 300 mb an not 16 mb , i use partion magic7 on my machine for partions ,u can get the cracked sofware on www.wtcracks.com ,and resize your your partions , but u must defragment you windows before using it , otherwise your data might get lost , or take

I guess there is no swap in computer's hard disk. The 16 mb is the boot partition to keep the boot information. It would have worked even if it would have been 8 MB. Also I don't think there is not any need to defragment before using partition magic. The software itself can do it ,
