I tried two. A 23R so the rack mount model with a token ring interface, and a

But both running the same microcode...

Hello list,
I am Alicia, content designer for IBM Configuration Assistant for z/OS
Communications Server. IBM Configuration Assistant for z/OS Communications
Server, also known as Network Configuration Assistant or NCA, provides a
guided interface to help you create and manage TCP/IP profiles,
We have it running on our z15 and added shutdown boost to our automation . I
followed this white paper to have it set up. Since it is included in z15 I
can't see any reason not to use it. We have not measured if it helps ipl and
shutdown but it works without problems and that is good.

All,
Just to be a little clearer about those HW feature codes...
For SRB, what are no extra charge z15 HW functions (there is no priced SRB
feature in z/OS V2.3 or V2.4!): Sub-capacity to full-capacity boost for CPs,
zIIP boost that use a client’s entitled zIIPs, and GDPS scripting and firmw
And if the client machine *is* the host? It's a SMOP.

Fifth is 1/5, Third is 1/3,
Fifth Third might be expressed as 1/5 1/3.
Maybe abbreviate to /5 /3 assuming the 1.
Improperly drop the first / to get the 5/3.

First, "Fifth" & "Third" are ordinal numbers in this context, not
denominators. The slash in the logo is merely to distinguish it from
"fifty-three". Second, since that looks like an (improper) fraction, some
play on numbers came into use. And no one expected it to be subjected to
meticulous scr
The logo may look like five thirds but the name is Fifth Third.

The name is neither Fifth plus Third nor Fifth times Third.

They can use whatever logo they want, and whatever representation of their name
they want. However, we still get to mock them and decide to do business with
them. And their indecision on picking a clear name.

Of course one of the things that makes it amusing is that all highly
skilled teckies get irritated by people that are too dumb to realize
they are dumb.
If you continue watching to the end of the video, the next video that
was selected by YouTube is a serious history of the mainframe "Big Iron
