But the announcement letter doesn't state if these are BREs, EREs, or

Why are IBM migrating from SMB to NFS? As a Windows user SMB is far
superior and NFS is onerous to setup and adds no value. In fact it sucks

It's traditional for utility programs to trap abends and convert to a

I would assume that it was a model I. I checked Snopes and there is no
reference to it as being an urban legend.

We had SYS1.SYSJOBQE on ours. We were not happy campers having to use 3330

Yeah, DANCE got those on the Memorex drives, but I don't know whether there was
ever an issue with normal seek patterns.

I'd like to take this opportunity to show off my arcane (& archaic)
knowledge and point out the reference to 3211 (a line printer responsible
for nearly everything printed in the '70s & '80s), should have been 2311

Thanks so much for pointing that out! The RACF Data Areas was a unique
deliverable that underwent massive structural changes for V2R4 that
aren't completely done yet, so we're holding off its shipment until it's
ready for you. I alerted the team, who will take down the deformed PDF.
