IBM capacity is defined as the maximum usage over a 4 hour rolling period. If you have a temporary high usage period exceeding your capacity that isn't too high and not too long, you aren't impacted. You go too long or too high and the processor starts to slow down so the total usage does not exc

Robert, whether this is CBU or OOCoD, you cannot DECREASE the subcapacity model as part of the activation. In other words you cannot go from 5xx to 4xx, only from 4xx to 5xx. Did you actually mean 402 to 507? Geoff Rousell IBM z Systems SE -

Your IBM service provider should be able to chip in as required for configuration options. Don't forget to include capacity in your DR plans. Some of the third party software vendors require a key based on CPUID and number of processors. In a message dated 6/27/2016 1:50:00 P.M. Central

CBU is either for a DR test or a real DR and not for running regular production workloads. There is a limit for the number of CBU tests you can have. Your contract will state this. Each CBU test lasts a max of 10 days. CBU activated for a real DR has a limit of 90 days. Are you thinking about O
