First, my congratulations to HP for this project. I am currently trying
to decide which MFP I should buy for my home office. I was initially
drawn towards the Canon Pixma MP960. However, given that I use Linux,

The Photosmart C7180 is supported under the Photosmart C7100 series
context. There is some errata with the supported tables--the specific
models should appear on the next release.

The LAN printer discovery during configuration works fine with inactive
firewall. Which protocols/ports do I have to open to make it work with the
firewall in an active state? I tried it with SNMP, but this is apparently
the wrong protocol.
