gnunet-cadet -T
gnunet-cadet -p otherpeerid
from each node would be interesting.

might have a look into the file
src/fs/fs.conf
There you see at the very beginning
[fs]
START_ON_DEMAND = YES
IMMEDIATE_START = YES
If you change IMMEDIATE_START to NO. This service will not start when
starting the GNUnet peer, but if it is needed. If you change
,
please remember that GNUnet is a large project with limited resources,

Happy Hacking!

Did you have a look into the log file, if there are any error messages?

i would advise you _not_ to use the latest revision of master, but the
release version 0.20.
If you worked with some more recent code than v0.20 do
make uninstall, make clean, bootstrap, configure, make, make install
before using v0.20
if you still have problems with "undefined symbol" error
o see more details what
your peer is doing, and could provide us the log entries of your log
running for a minute after starting the peer with log level DEBUG.
